I spent New Years Eve in Houston, TX ringing in 2016 by celebrating the birthday of one of my very best friends! We hosted a black and white themed birthday party (#BLACKANDWHITe) in The Black Label Suite at Hotel ZaZa…It was ultra fab and chic and we totally felt like celebrities!
Here are some of the highlights…
First of all, if you are ever in the Houston area (or Dallas), I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel ZaZa. From the glam decor to the modern artwork, this boutique hotel is just beautiful.
The service was absolutely phenomenal. Upon arriving at ZaZa on NYE, we were treated to chocolate-covered fruit and champagne in the uber trendy Hotel ZaZa lobby. The bellmen were kind (and quite patient) enough to load up 3+ carts with our luggage and festive necessities for our 1 whole night stay.
After making our way up to the 12th floor housing The Magnificent Seven, ZaZa’s aptly named luxury suites, we arrived at The Black Label. It was unbelievable! We actually squealed like little girls, running all over the suite celebrating all the fabulousness we had just encountered.
Everything in The Black Label was top notch and of course themed in shades of black, white, and grey. The spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite also provided a full kitchen and dining area we used to set up all of our yummies for the party.
The floor to ceiling windows provided a 180 degree view of the Houston skyline and overlooked Houston’s modern Museum District. The outdoor terrace was huge and even had a bathtub (which we used for pictures…obviously)!
We celebrated the birthday girl with hors d’oeuvres, sweets, and champagne. My favorite tastings included pasta from Dolce Vita, dipped strawberries from The Chocolate Bar, Three Brothers Bakery most amazing carrot cake ever, yummy oreo truffle balls, and glitter sparkling wine from our favorite winemaker One Hope.
After celebrating the birthday girl (and 2016) all night, we finally laid our heads to rest on the heavenly ZaZa beds…seriously super cozy and comfy.
On New Years Day, we enjoyed
brunch lunch (it was 2pm) on the Terrace of the Monarch Restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the Grilled Zaza Burger. Again, the service was so top notch the concierge even watched our girlfriend’s dog and walked him while we were dining!
All in all, it was an unforgettable evening of fun, festive memories at an incredibly fabulous hotel.
