Over the past few years, Park City, Utah has quickly become one of my very favorite places in the world thanks to one of my very favorite people. Home to the best powder on the planet and the hottest festival of the year, this charming mountain town has it all.
Park City is just quick 30-minute drive (or flight via UberCHOPPER) from the SLC airport, making it an easy place to access for your winter escape. In honor of the annual Sundance Film Festival beginning this week, here is my visitor’s guide to Park City this season…
Chimayo – Incredibly unique and upscale, this southwestern infused cuisine is truly incredible. Be sure to order a Signature Chimayo Margarita and don’t miss the Queso Fundido or the Duck Enchiladas.
Zoom – Founded by Robert Redford as part of the Sundance Mountain Resort, Zoom offers local farm to table fare amongst an inviting atmosphere. Don’t miss the Truffle Mac & Cheese, Fried Brussel Sprouts, or the Wood Grilled Filet.
The Mustang – With a diverse, contemporary American menu, The Mustang is one of my very favorite restaurants in Park City. Every dish is always amazing and The Mustang never skimps on portion size or service. Don’t miss the Shrimp Potstickers, Beef Carpaccio, or the Chilean Sea Bass.
Legends Bar & Grill – Located at the base of Park City Mountain, Legends Bar & Grill is the perfect place to après-ski. Don’t miss the Ahi Tuna Nachos or the Legends Burger.
Bandits – Literally the best BBQ in town, Bandits Grill and Bar is one of the top spots for casual dining. Don’t miss the Fried Pickles, Pulled Pork Nachos, or the Tri Tip Steak.
(note: many restaurants offer select menus and require reservations during Sundance)
Movies – Get your festival pass or single movie tickets for this year’s must-see films.
The Montage at Deer Valley – With one of the most scenic overlooks in town and the swankiest hotel lobby around, we love to head to The Montage hotel lobby to play pool while sipping hot chocolate cocktails and listening to the live piano player.
Park City Mountain – Since many festival-goers are partaking in movie screenings, skiing the week of Sundance is actually ideal. The recent, multi-million dollar renovation linking Park City Mountain Resort + The Canyons now boasts Park City Mountain as the largest (7300 acres) ski area in America! Be sure to ride the new Quicksilver Gondola, take a run through The Colony, hit up Neff Land Park, and enjoy a brownie at the Summit House.
Main Street – From live music to local bars, Main Street is definitely the place to eat, drink, and party. Check out Park City Live for concerts, No Name Saloon for the local hot spot, Rock & Reilly’s for beer + whiskey, and Downstairs for late night dancing. Plus hit up the many NY/LA pop up bars and lounges lining Main Street during the Sundance Film Festival week.
VRBO – thousands of rentals available to tailor your vacay to the ideal area of town
Hotel Park City – all-suite golf resort & spa with stunning views of Park City Mountain
Stein Eriksen Lodge – the ultimate luxury and the only 5-star, 5-diamond rated resort in Park City
Westgate Park City Resort – upscale resort & spa located at the base of The Canyons
Marriott’s Summit Watch – conveniently located at the bottom of Main Street in the heart of Park City with walking access to the Town Lift
